NeuSheet opens soon. You can’t upload a spreadsheet yet, and this is how it will work.

Download your files

You pay £10 when you download. You get your tidied workbook and, if your business fits, a file to upload. If we can’t finish the job, the hold is released and you pay nothing.

Your tidied workbook

Every row and figure stays where you left it, with nothing added to your sheets. We add two sheets of our own: one with a line for each entry, saying what we did with it, and one with what we asked you.

Fonts, borders, column widths and merged cells don’t carry over. Cells with a formula are locked, with no password, so a worked-out figure can’t be typed over.

A file to upload

The same figures, laid out for your bridging software, which sends them to HMRC. Nothing to retype. We plan to start with a file for one product, and we’ll name it before we open.

Keep your files

We delete your spreadsheet about a day after you download, and we don’t keep a copy, so keeping your files is up to you. You can carry on from the tidied workbook as your record if you want to. Whichever spreadsheet you keep, HMRC says you must keep your records for at least 5 years after the 31 January deadline for the tax year.
